Decompression is the desired effect of “traction” (the stretching and separation of joints). We can traction the neck or the low back and there are few people who CAN’T benefit from this procedure. Perfect for people who feel ”jammed up”, have pain in their neck, back, arms and legs.

Most insurance covers these treatments, however we do offer a great time-of-service discount for our self-pay patients. We offer a pre-pay package of 15 treatments at a significant savings. We’re one of the few offices in this area offering this type of treatment and are happy to be among the most affordable.

We can traction the neck area OR the low back area. The lumbar area can be tractioned face up/or face down, another advantage of the SAUNDERS 3D TRACTION TABLE. Most tables only allow prone (face down) treatments. The 3D ActiveTrac consists of an adjustable table and a traction force generator. It is designed to exert a therapeutic distraction force on the patient's spine to relieve pressures on structures that may be causing pain. It produces the forces and positions required to cause decompression of the intervertebral discs, that is, unloading due to distraction and positioning. Conditions that may be treated include back pain, neck pain, herniated disc, protruding disc, degenerative disc disease, posterior facet syndrome and sciatica.
